I would like to discuss a few matters, to put them “on paper” as one would put it.
Many times, friends and I would discuss religion, and I would be asked what I “believe” in.
My replies were usually scattered, and I truly felt the need to put them down somewhere to organize them a bit. So, why not here aye?
- I know one thing that I truly believe in, and that is energy and the strength of a humans will.
- Our will to survive, our will to evolve, and our will to live on.
- I know for sure I do not believe in a higher entity much like the “God” Christians have.
- I believe in the power of ourselves, and do not believe in the idea that “God” controls everything and we humans have no choice in it.
- I can’t say I don’t agree with certain aspects of religion, but I can say I completely disagree with the fact that people have taken religion and made it an obsessive path, rather than taking it as a guideline to a good life.
- The theory of energy also is something I tend to support, and the fact that what you put “out” will eventually come back to you, or Karma, which has been proven to me in life, time and time again.
- I do not believe in negativity, and I do not believe in blind pessimism. I believe in at least attempting to make the best of a situation, and although even for me it is hard some times, I try and make something of everything.
- The idea that the human soul is “trapped” in the human body is something I also find myself believing. I do believe in the power of the human mind very much so, but in the human body I find myself doubtful in many of its aspects.
- In reference to reincarnation, I do not think very highly of it and I think it is a bit of an exaggeration or a bit of a “stretch” in the idea of living forever.
- Ultimately I think I have come to the conclusion that it is important to maintain an open mind in all matters pertaining to religion and beliefs. I do not refuse discussions on religion, and I do not refuse to listen to different theories. I think that is most important, and it is something that all should practice as long as we want to coexist as a species.
